I was using an app to write on my computer, but it wasn’t working as well for me personally. So I decided to look around for other options and found this one called “SlickWrite” that seemed like a good fit. The best thing about Slickwrite is the split screen function which makes things much more convenient because then you can reference anything else while writing without having to constantly switch screens between your document and what you want to find out from elsewhere. This meant being able to do research or even respond back in email all at the same time (without needing two computers). Beyond just how easy it made multitasking, there were many other benefits too – including security features such as a timer to help with writing goals, and the ability to export files in PDF or Microsoft Word formats.
The other app I tried was called “Dual Screen” which is another split screen software that has some of the same features as Slickwrite. The main difference? Dual Screen starts at $29 while Slickwrite costs only $14 (and can also be used offline). One thing Dual Screen does have going for it though is better compatibility on iOS devices – if you use an iPad then this might be something worth checking out instead of my suggestion below as they both offer a similar amount of functions for less money than what Apple charges.
I would recommend trying out either Split Screens by ClearApps ($19) or Alternate Screens by MobileRSS ($19) first. They both offer the same functionality of dual screen apps, including being able to help you meet your goals and export files in PDF or Microsoft Word formats.
