Although it’s hard to get too much info from books, Pollan has written a book that is very readable and very useful. It’s called “Garden Republic.” You should definitely check it out.
My favorite book on gardening is the basic guide to gardening by Michael Pollan. It’s a little scary but incredibly informative and has some very good advice even though it’s based in gardening. He has also written two more books called The Gardener’s Guide to Home Comfort and The Gardener’s Guide to Home Cooking. You should definitely check both out.
