I was introduced to diageo marketing in the summer of 2015, when I went to a conference and was given the opportunity to attend a special event to learn more about the brand and how to use it. Diageo is one of those brands that I will never be able to completely love, but it’s one of the reasons that I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to learn about it.
I guess I’m lucky because I’m not really a big fan of marketing. It’s hard to explain to someone who doesn’t know the brand, but marketing is all about making people buy stuff. The trick is to make sure that you have a compelling reason for people to buy what you’re selling. If you can explain why your product is better than the competition, that’s even better.
Diageo is one of the largest and most successful companies in the UK. They offer a fantastic range of digital products, video games, ebooks, and mobile apps for a variety of platforms. I have to say that this is the first campaign that I love, and I absolutely love that they are using this type of marketing. They have used the word marketing so much that you would never think they are marketing anything, and they are using this approach in a way that you could never think of. I also love that they are not just marketing what they are selling, but also marketing it for you.
Marketing is a long game. I just think they have done a fantastic job of it.
I’ve always felt that marketing is not marketing in a good way, and that can be a bit of a problem for smaller companies. What they do here is market the product, not the product itself. They are not trying to sell you something. They are marketing the product, and they are making you the consumer. It’s a good marketing approach.
