I always have a smile when I think about marketing conferences. This is because I have been to every one of them. I used to be just as interested in meeting new people as I was in catching up with friends and family. Over the years I have learned that networking and finding your niche is key to success. After all, I am the one who is running the show.
We decided to go to San Francisco due to the fact that there are lots of events and conferences there. But the most important reason is because it’s the home of Google’s largest annual conference, the Search Marketing Association (SMA). I love to attend SMA events, whether I’m speaking, writing a blog post, or hanging out with the marketing folks. It’s a great way to meet people from all over and learn about the latest and greatest trends.
I’m not sure why I’m mentioning this, but last year I had a fun time attending the conference in March. I loved the sessions on SEO, email marketing, social media, and content marketing, as well as the expo floor where I learned everything from how to set up a Facebook page to how to use Instagram to create killer “stories.
I’ll have to say that the conference was awesome. I learned so much about marketing and business and how to use it to build my business. There were so many interesting talks and people from all over the world that I’m sure I’ll have to come back and visit again. I also got a little bit of time to hang out with some of my marketing buddies and really kick some ass.
The conference was held at the beautiful San Francisco Airport Marriott. This was my first time hanging with some of my marketing buddies, and it was awesome. The best part of the conference was meeting the guys that make and publish my articles. Everyone had their own unique take on marketing, business, and life. One of my favorite speakers was a guy named Steve, and he talked about the importance of creating a sense of community around your business.
The conference was a great opportunity to meet some of the best guys out there. I think I have a thing for Steve. He’s always got something great to say, whether it’s about how the best marketing people are also good people, or the value of keeping your nose to the grindstone.
I’m not sure I’ve seen a more successful conference. If you have the chance to visit San Fransisco, I highly recommend it.

This is a marketing conference. For all the people who say it’s only for the “hipsters” or the “young kids”, I don’t think it’s so much about them. It’s more about you. At this conference you are surrounded by a group of marketing people who are looking to make the world a better place, and they get to see this by talking to each other.
