The world of marketing and advertising is full of examples of how we need to be more intentional about our decision-making. We are bombarded with messages and messages that try to convince us that we can’t make the right choice. We are bombarded with marketing messages that try to convince us that we have bad taste, that we need to conform to the image of the brand, and that our choices will make us happy.
We hear all those messages at every turn, over and over again. We hear them from the media, from our friends, from our bosses, and everywhere in between. We hear them from our coworkers, from our customers, and from ourselves. We hear them even when we don’t.
Marketing is a big thing, but its not really a separate industry, but rather another way we manage our personal relationships. One of the things I love about the new Deathloop game is that it offers a choice between just being “inside,” or “outside.” One of the places you can do this is in the garage. While you can’t actually move around outside of the garage, you can move your car, and your vehicle can be unlocked by your phone’s Bluetooth. I’ve never been able to move my car to the garage.
The new Deathloop game, released last night, lets you move around inside and outside of your house in a pretty cool way. Basically, the game puts you in a room full of cars, and as you drive around, you can unlock more cars and unlock the next room. You do this by putting a phone or car in your Bluetooth and then moving around. If you get stuck, you can call your phone to tell it to unlock the next room.
The game is a pretty good idea, and one which I suspect will see a lot more play because of the number of people who need to unlock the next room. That being said, the idea is cool, but I’m not sure that I would use it to make my home any more cool.
