You’ve probably heard of Nicolas Cage before. Or maybe you’ve read his books. I mean, I did read a lot of his books. I’m not sure how many of them I actually read. I’m sure there are a few, but I’m not so sure. I’ve always been curious as to what the guy was like as an actor and filmmaker.
Well, he was a talented actor, but also he was a talented director. Cage was a director of some of the most interesting films Ive seen (my favorite being ‘Hitchcock). And he was a talented writer. It wasn’t until I was a little older that I truly appreciated Cage’s talent and creativity. In fact, I have only seen one of his movies. That was the amazing ‘The Birdcage’ as directed by him.
Cage is a master of suspense and horror. He also has to be one of the best directors of thrillers Ive ever had. The Birdcage was a masterpiece.
Cage used to be the head of the art department at the famed film company 20th century Fox where he worked on the likes of Pulp Fiction, The Usual Suspects, and Taxi Driver. He wrote the story of the Birdcage from the idea of a small island paradise being turned into a nightmare by a deadly cult.
Cage also wrote the screenplay for the upcoming Nicolas Cage movie, The Predator. It also stars Michael Fassbender and Paul Walker as characters. It’s about a man who is obsessed with the idea of killing another man. It also features a number of great performances by the likes of Colin Farrell, Jason Statham, and even Jason Momoa.
This is the same man who is the father of David Wilkerson, who wrote the book that inspired the first film, Taxi Driver. Cage is also the author of the book that inspired the second film, the famous book The Birdcage. Cage writes the screenplay for the upcoming Nicolas Cage movie, The Predator, in which he plays a man who takes the same obsession as the book The Birdcage did.
Nic Cage is also the father of actress, Lucy Liu, who starred in the film version of The Birdcage. She’s currently starring in the movie adaptation of The Birdcage, which is expected to be released next year. Cage’s son, David Cage, is also an actor and is best known for playing the character, “Chad” in the film adaptation of The Birdcage.
