I love this book because it’s about the importance of teaching kids to be self-aware. It is not just about being self-aware of your actions, it’s about teaching kids to be self-aware of their feelings and thoughts.
I think parents need to be a little more mindful of their kids’ feelings when they are spending time on the computer, so that they won’t spend time being overly emotional and feel “emotional abuse” from their kids. It’s not just about being aware of your own emotions though, that’s a good thing too.
Well, the book is about “St Patrick’s Day.” I suppose it is, but I don’t remember it being about being aware of your own emotions because of it being St. Patrick’s Day. It’s just about knowing yourself and what you want to do and be.
St. Patricks Day is a day when all of the kids in the neighborhood run out to grab a bag of candy, so they can buy them all a whole bunch of candy together.
Well, St. Patricks Day is a day where kids are expected to act like their parents, and it is a day when they should act like you, and that is what the book is all about. I had to read the entire book in one sitting to know what my reactions to it were.
I have to agree with the author. I can’t remember the last time I’ve listened to somebody tell me that St. Patricks Day is just a bunch of kids acting like adults. And it’s not just kids who get the day off from school–I’m not talking about grownups either. Adults are expected to wear cool t-shirts, and some of them are even allowed to go buy cool stuff.
The book is meant to be humorous, so it’s not surprising that some kids will get all worked up over it. But, I do wonder if this is something that people who aren’t used to the traditional holiday will get as well. Maybe we’re supposed to enjoy being around kids with a sense of humor, and maybe we should be like them.
I know I’m not the only one who feels that way. So, I don’t really know what to do with this book.
In general, kids love books about making friends with strangers, having fun, and getting their shoes polished. Kids love to read and they love to share that love with others. I think that’s why this book is fun to read to them. Some adults will love the book for the same reasons but not everyone will love it.
I think the reason this book is so popular with kids is because it’s so easy to read. Its easy to pick up and read it and even easier to teach them a few new words and a few new stories. Just because this book is so popular, doesn’t mean it’s a “must read”. There are books for every age and every interest, so choose what works for your family.
